Requirements to marry in The Bahamas.

Couples planning to be married in the Bahamas must be a resident for a period of 24 hours prior to marriage application.

Couples planning a Saturday or Sunday wedding should arrive in the Bahamas by Thursday. The Registrar General’s office is opened Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00p.m. Closed on public holiday, please allow 1 1/2 hour for processing of doucments.

Required Documents

Photo Identification - Valid Drivers License

Certified copy of your birth certificate or

Valid Passport

Affidavit of Parents consent if under 21 years of age

Affidavit if never married before(services provided on Island)

Certified copy of original divorce decree if divorced

Death certificate of spouse if widowed

Documents should be translated to English

No blood test required
